Abstract

This study aims to implement the story method using flashcards to improve the ability to read hijaiyyah letters in early childhood at RA Yaspi Al-Falah. The background of this study is the importance of introducing hijaiyyah letters as the basis for learning the Qur'an, considering that many children experience difficulties in learning it. The method applied is the story method with flashcards, where children are invited to learn through interesting stories, accompanied by visual media that can help their understanding.

This study uses a qualitative approach with data analysis from observations and interviews. The results of the study indicate that the application of this method can increase children's interest and enthusiasm in learning hijaiyyah letters, as well as help them recognize and arrange letters into words. In addition, this study also identifies supporting and inhibiting factors in the process of implementing the method.

The results of this study can be a reference for educators and parents in efforts to improve the ability to read the Qur'an in early childhood through a fun and effective approach.
